This pub takes its name from the oldest rowing competition in the world. It is based only a few metres from the river and so offers a wonderful view across the Thames from its four levels of seating. The roof terrace bar gets exceedingly busy in summer so you might want to find a space in one of the beautifully wood-panelled bars below. For a place that is founded on tradition, the venue prides itself on its pies, which it buys each day from Northamptonshire.
