Go to the Southampton Arms, London's only Cider and Ale House
A plan by: Matthias

The newly refurbished Southampton Arms is a busy pub that luckily didn't go down the gastropub route but embraced the journey back to basics now selling a wide range of ales and ciders (as well as perry) from small independent breweries. The pub has only been running in its current format for less than twelve months but already scooped a couple of awards including London Cider Pub of the Year.Typically the Southampton Arms have seven real ales and eight ciders on tap with all beers priced at £2.90.

Food is good and simple with a choice of pork pies, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, cheese and chutney baps and the excellent hot pork baps (£3.90 each but well worth it).

On a good day you will even fins some live music here, typically jazz played on the old piano in the back. On sunny days, feel free to embrace the garden as long as you don't annoy the neighbours too much.

The crowd is mixed ranging from CAMRA ale specialists to the 20-somethings of North London all joined together in celebration of this excellent pub
