Have brunch at the Counter Cafe, Hackney Wick
A plan by: Matthias

Hidden in what seems to be an old factory shop floor the Counter Cafe now serves up one of the best breakfasts in East London. It's located in Hackney Wick (essentially between Victoria Park and the Olympic site). Probably the best way to get there is to cycle over and most visitors park their bikes in the courtyard which also serves as terrace/playing field on sunny days. Once you get there, you will be greeted by well crafted flat whites (of Monmouth quality), homemade cookies and brownies and above all an excellent choice of breakfasts all prepared in an open kitchen. The menu is surprisingly upmarket with excellent Eggs benedict and a high quality Full English.

Ever since the Counter has received widespread recognition in the world of breakfast reviewers queues can be long at the Sunday 1pm prime time and expect to wait c.20 minutes for your food to arrive. But in the relaxed atmosphere of Hackney Wick most people seem to be happy to wait. It is worth it.
