Springfield Park in Lower Clapton is one of the few places in Hackney that has not been entirely taken over by the hipster population in its move to the East. Ḿaybe because it's slightly further North in Clapton that it has been overlooked by the people of London Fields. The beauty of the park and the quality of the cafe in the park (Spark Cafe) cannot be a reason. The Spark Cafe is based in the Georgian Springfield House near the main entance to the park and serves a variety of breakfast items, smoothies, salads, soups and hot drinks. (Warning: On busy Sundays, the wait for food can be up to 90 minutes!).
After a lovely brunch, stroll through Springfield Park with nice views over Walthamstow Marshes and a nice decent down to the Lee Valley Park.
