Hire a Rowing Boat from the Boathouse by Richmond Bridge in the centre of Richmond. You can paddle up past Kew Palace and the gardens, or the other way past Ham House or Marble Hill House. A lovely way to see this lovely part of West London. On a Saturday pick up provisions for a picnic from the farmers market in Heron Sqaure just up the steps from the boathouse.
