Visit the world's most famous bell foundry, makers of Big Ben and the Liberty Bell, located in the heart of Whitechapel. The foundry is also listed by the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest manufacturing company in Great Britain having been established in 1570. If you find yourself in Whitechapel, feel free to visit the museum displays in the foyer and the Foundry store open Monday to Friday, between 9.00am and 4.15pm. If you would like to have a proper tour of the Foundry, you are kindly asked to book ahead. There is also a a charge of 11 quid per person.
