Treat yourself to a dinner at Bistrotheque
Supper & cabaret was once the night out of the sophisticate from Berlin to Bayswater. In recent years it’s made a comeback in the West End, but one of the pioneers in London can be found out East: Bistrotheque. Combining French & English classic cooking with cutting-edge cabaret entertainment, it’s a killer combination (alliterative!). Food-wise, you’re looking at the likes of Mushroom & butter bean stew for ?12.50 or grilled duck with butternut purée for ?17.00. Fish is also a specialty, with Cod, haddock, bream and sole all available. Cabaret-wise, you could enjoy a show by Russella, the ‘21st Century RuPaul,’ or Rockabilly band the Frantasticks. No stag or hen nights are allowed, so don’t get excited if your pal’s getting married. Bistrotheque’s open for brunch 11-4pm Monday-Saturday, and for dinner from 6.30 7 nights a week. You can book on the number below or online at http://www.bistrotheque.com/sub.php?ID=38. Cabaret nights generally start at about nine.
